FROM THERE TO HERE

You might know us as a midway stop on road trips between Toronto and Montreal, as a sports tournament destination, as the home of Canada’s largest air base, or as a top spot for walleye fishing. There’s more to discover beyond the rest stops along the highway like agritourism experiences, culinary adventures, sandy beaches, trails that lead to panoramic views and tons of folks to meet with interesting stories. Whatever your reason for visiting, we can’t wait to welcome you.

HIGHWAYS AND BI-WAYS

Our entire region is most easily accessed from Hwy 401, with a dozen interchanges scattered throughout to take you exactly where you want to go.

For something a little more off the beaten path and a slower pace, take Highway 2 (or County Road 2 as it’s called in some parts) that stretches from Toronto to Cornwall, stopping in various towns and cities along the way. If you’re heading here from Ottawa, you can take Highway 7 to Highway 37 which will run right into Belleville in the centre of our region.

Visit Ontario 511 for provincial traveller information.
